🚨ANOTHER GRANT AWARD DELIVERY🚨

Today we traveled to Long Island to pick up our new Firehouse Innovations “Blue” Forcible Entry Training Door with miscellaneous accessories. This equipment was provided to our department by public safety grants from TC Energy ($8,100) and Pilot Flying J ($1,000).

We continue to work tirelessly to seek grant funding for projects so we remain fiscally responsible to our tax payers.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to TC Energy and Pilot Flying J for their generous awards.

We are pleased to announce that Christian Velazquez was sworn in as our newest full-time firefighter at last evening's council meeting. This position is being filled as our Fire Official, Scott Hill, is set to retire at the end of June.

Chris is a young firefighter who has risen through the ranks within our department and transitioned into a career role. His qualifications, skills, and dedication to public service have been thoroughly evaluated. Chris has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to our values and responsibilities.

We wish Chris the best and look forward to seeing him prosper. We would also like to thank the Mayor, Council, and Finance for their support in this endeavor.

Additionally, we’d like to welcome the newest Runnemede Police Department officer and our Youth Mayor and Council who were also sworn in last evening.

Today we’d like to talk about our dear friend and fellow brother, Keith Hartman. Keith is a RFD life member, a father, a son, and a cherished friend to many. He is a kind and loving person who brings joy to everyone around him.

Unfortunately, Keith is in desperate need of a new kidney. This situation has put a tremendous strain on him and his family, and we are doing everything we can to help him find a donor. One of the most impactful ways we can assist is by spreading the word about his need.

We kindly ask for your help in this matter. By sharing Keith's story and his need for a kidney transplant, we increase the chances of finding a match that could save his life. Your support in spreading this message can make a significant difference.

It’s great to have such a dedicated organization in town focused on supporting and promoting our local businesses!🌟 A heartfelt thank you to our local heroes! 🚔🚒👷‍♂️ Recently, the Runnemede Chamber of Commerce had the honor of giving back to our incredible Runnemede Police Department, Fire Department, and Borough of Runnemede Department of Public Works.

Our President, Catherine Walker, and Councilman, Dan Murray, personally delivered lunch and Runnemede Pike Jam Food & Festival shirts to show our deepest appreciation for their unwavering support of our community event and for their dedication to keeping our town safe and thriving.

To our brave first responders and hardworking public works team: your commitment and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do to make Runnemede a better place for us all. We are grateful for your service and proud to stand by your side. 🙌❤️ #CommunityHeroes #RunnemedeStrong #ChamberOfCommerceGratitude #runnemedenj #runnemedepikejam
